Research & Internship Opportunities

Each Summer Quarter, interns spend 6-8 weeks conducting research at a leading European think-tank or transnational organization. Applications open in January.

The Europe Center supports undergraduates whose research or work focuses on some aspect of European politics, economics, history, or culture, or who have been accepted to present (in any field) at a conference in Europe. Applications due May 1, 2025.

Each Spring Quarter, graduate and professional students in the humanities and social sciences are invited to apply for funding to support Europe-focused research.

Each Autumn Quarter, TEC invites masters and PhD students to apply for funded summer research visits or internships in Germany.

Each January, The Europe Center welcomes the Distinguished Austrian Chair to teach and conduct research at Stanford during the Winter and Spring quarters.

Each year, The Europe Center hosts Visiting Scholars and Visiting Postdoctoral Scholars interested in continuing their research and engaging with the robust academic community at Stanford.

The Europe Center welcomes graduate students who have not yet completed their PhD to engage in collaborative research at Stanford.
